Reflecting God's Love

The primary purpose of this course is to outline the Vision, Purpose, Mission, and Guiding Principles statements, demonstrate the relationship among these statements, and encourage helpful discussion among all who attend our churches.

Course Goals:

  • Outline the Vision, Purpose, Mission statements of the Apostolic Christian Church of America.
  • Outline the Guiding Principles of the Apostolic Christian Church of America.
  • Facilitate helpful discussion and conversation between attendees concerning who we are as a church and what we are about.

Course Contents:

Introduction

Lesson 1: Vision, Purpose & Mission

Lesson 2: Guiding Principle A - Jesus Christ's love for us is the foundation and motivation for everything we do.

Lesson 3: Guiding Principle B - We seek to be like Jesus in thought, action, and character, and to live the entire counsel of his Word.

Lesson 4: Guiding Principle C - We follow the great commission, sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ in our homes, churches, communities, and throughout the world as God calls us to serve.

Lesson 5: Guiding Principle D - We disciple and care for one another as a committed church body.

Lesson 6: Guiding Principle E - We apply spiritual discernment to our daily decisions, based on the Bible, prayer, the Holy Spirit's direction, and godly counsel from fellow believers.

Lesson 7: Guiding Principle F - We see God's value in each individual and joyfully reflect Jesus' peaceful spirit.

Lesson 8: Guiding Principle G - We believe the Bible is true, timeless, and inspired of God.

Lesson 9: Guiding Principle H - We, as a church, contend for the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Word.

Lesson 10: Guiding Principle I - We freely give as we have freely received, recognizing our lives and resources belong to God.

Course Expectations:

Participants can expect to spend 1 -1.5 hours on each lesson.

Additional notes:

Participants of this course can engage with the content individually or collectively in a group.
