Essentials of History

This course introduces key types of history in the "History and Christian Thought" theme: history in the Bible, the history of the Bible, and the history of the Church after the Bible. It aims to ground ministers in a healthy understanding of history’s role in Scripture and how we can research and use history effectively in ministry. By examining the biblical narrative, the Bible's development, and the Church’s history, participants will gain insights into how history shapes our faith and enhances preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. This course equips ministers to apply historical insights to their ministry, deepening their understanding of God’s work through history.
